This is my foofy for this week and blissfully a cold front went through tonight so tomorrow may actually only be in the 70's. This is a Gaillardia - it loves it hot and dry - it is sometimes called Indian Blanket flower.
Kathy, I've one of the many species of the Gaillardia flowers in my garden: the Gaillardia aristata, commonly named common gaillardia or common blanketflower. Your picture of this 'hot one' species is a 'cool one' (😁) and a very good Foofy Friday (F²) contribution.

Love the name Indian Blanket for this beautiful flower Kathy. The golden edges really outline it and make it so stunning. Marvelous photo for Foofy Friday. Have a safe Labor Day Weekend.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
