Now there is a misnomer as indigo is a blue color. I've photographed blue false indigo before but I had not see the yellow until this year. This is a native cultivar that will withstand drought well and the flowers have a sweet-pea like appearance on tall stalks with a gray-green foliage. This cultivar was named Lemon Meringue.

The green and yellow together make a lovely combination Kathy.

Kathy, as far as I know I've never seen yellow wild indigo flowers(official name: Baptisia sphaerocarpa) . This doesn't amaze me however, as I was told that it's native North American flower (mostly the southern part).
Lovely and very special Lemon Meringue capture.
