Honestly I'm not making that name up - this is a non-political post. These flowers are in the aster family and are closely related to the more well known coreopsis. They also have another common name Tickseed flowers.

The Bidens look well fertilized Kathy. I was taken aback when I saw the title on the friends list, but I should have know they were flowers. Very attractive flowers I might add. Great photo.
"Bidens," hum...are these normally grown in basements and do you need to cover them once they go outside? Kathy, your picture is lovely and their bright "bullseyes" make for a wonderful complement to the contrasting greens of the background.
