I've been missing for a little while - we had another death in my family last Wednesday. My 35 year old nephew was found dead in his sleep by his wife. Since mid-June we've lost my sister-in-law, my husband and now my nephew. It's been a lot to deal with especially for my mother who is 94. Jimmy, her only grandson, was her buddy from the time he was a little boy so she is devastated. The services are tomorrow evening but she and I cannot attend due to the Covid situation. I titled this shot of the asters with their real name - I had no idea when I took it how much it would come to mean.

What a tragedy, Kathy!
My sincere condolences to you and your family members, in particular your old mother. My empathy goes to all of you however.
I think to know where I'm talking about: a very dear friend of mine has passed away last week. Due to the Covid-19 (Corona) pandemic only a limited number of close family members were allowed to attend the ceremony to pay him the last respects. I didn't suspect that not being able to attend the ceremony would affect me like that.

I wish you all the most possible strength.

My heart and prayers go out to you and your family Kathy. That's a lot of grief to have to cope with for everyone. Having a mother 96 years old, and knowing what she thinks of her grandchildren and great great grandchildren it gives me some perspective to what you all are going through.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
