. . . although I didn't see nearly as many butterflies this year as last - I did spot this beautiful milkweed just waiting for a monarch to come by.

Kathy, I hope that the Monarch's aren't already departed for Mexico.
If they're already departed, they probably didn't know that there was still a 'treat' left for them. In this case , the only thing that we can do, is to enjoy this 'treat' visually, so I do.

Beautiful, and such good details. I have a few online friends that release Monarchs, and one of them released about 150! tigs=^..^=
