This bushy fern was being used as filler in an interesting arrangement of colored spikes. I've seen spikes used in outdoor plants for years but they are always green - these were a deep maroon color.

Kathy, green spikes had made this foxtail fern a nondescript plant. Now he is in the middle of the attention, not by his own doing but by those who placed the spikes.
