The Chicago area is sadly lacking in snow this winter - we've only had 1/2 our usual amount. I live north of the city about 30 miles and we had a beautiful snow overnight. Only about 4" but it coated the trees and bushes. This is the view at 7:30 am from my 6th floor balcony looking towards the woods across the street.

Kathy, this is a wonderful wintry picture, capable to make us shivering, primarily not because of the cold, but because of its beauty. Thanks for the effort (awakening that early) in order to provide us with this beautiful view!
