This is a tropical and sub-tropical vine that has gained popularity as a summer planting. It is also known as "Rock Trumpet". It blooms from late spring through summer with very showy flowers in pink, white and, my favorite one, apricot.
I searched on the net of more detailed information and have found this: "Rock Trumpets (Mandevilla) are a group of flowering tropical and subtropical vines in the dogbane family. True to their common name, many species within the genus sport large, showy, trumpet-shaped flowers. Many of these species are cultivated as ornamentals - they do well outside in warm climates, or inside in temperate ones. Like most other plants within the dogbane family, many Rock Trumpets are toxic to humans and animals."
Wonderful floral contribution, per usual!
