This is part of the acanthus family and it originated in southeast Asia. I'm seeing it sold both for summer planting outdoors and also as a winter indoor blooming plant this year. This was from indoors recently. My foofy for this Friday.

Kathy this is a wonderful capture of one of the 54 species of the Crossandra.
I've read on the net that some species, especially Crossandra infundibuliformis, are cultivated for their brightly colored flowers.
Your excellent Foofy Friday (F²) contribution is a proof of that.
