It was difficult to get the whole thing in the frame as there is no where to back up far enough to get a horizontal shot (especially without getting a hundred people in your shot), so got right underneath it and shot vertical. It really doesn't give the feeling of how wide this structure is, but overall you can tell this is a large lighthouse.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??
I have a cement replica of that lighthouse in my landscaping. Nice shot.

Kiss me whether I'm Irish or not
I hate 90% of the lighthouses here in florida. They have electric cords, lightning rods, and junk running up and atop them. This is nice though in that there is not so much of that except that running rod on the right.
