A liquid blue for your approval and your computer desktop. This is the second of four. This image was made with an aim of allowing for icons on the sides and creating a something with a bit more substance than the first image. I think it has a balance to it. Tell me what you think. Feel the blue. Feel the flow. Feel the strength.

I still like the colours and this has a nice depth. I don't allow icons on my desktop, so the sides look a bit blank to me, but it would work well for those who do. It looks like some sort of strange column with something held/suspended/captured/protected within it.

I am honoured to be listed as a friend or to see an image of mine as a favourite, but I keep lists of neither. This helps me appreciate images uploaded by strangers as well as friends. Aside from the whole icons thing, I like the blank sides. Blank/Negative space has almost as much to do with a good image as the subject itself. The subject in this case has a very nice liquid semi-smoke feel to it and is pleasently abstract. A little color variation also goes a long way to making this work very appealing.

Since I am not really qualified to comment on abstract art I won't critique it in anyway. Thanks for sharing your work.

That is sweet...and for some reason at first glance before checking out the close up, it looked real, like a metallic liquid. Nice job, awesome composition :)
