Caught this dude buzzing around.Never seen one before,Beats it's wings like a Hummingbird,Has a tail like a shrimp and fuzzy antenna.He was moving around the flower so fast I could hardly get him in focus and then was gone!Could someone tell me what they are?

I think i've seen these before and i've always thought they were humming bird moths. Correct me if im wrong. Im so glad you got a pic of him and this is going into my faves!

Sorry I cannont name that insect my friend. But you did a great job on catching with the Nikon! Great vivid colors. Nicely done.

My guess is the Snowberry Clearwing (Hemaris diffinis). It's one of the hummingbird moths. Never seen one tho. However, my back yard has plenty of real hummingbirds, and I like sittin' out back and watching them fight. I was told they were actually courting. Can't tell the difference. Oh well, maybe they been hangin' around people too long. Nice post.
