I saw this lovely old "sunken" house not far from where I live. There seem to be so many beautiful things to seek and find around here. The house seemed so low, and the windows too. But the scene was so good, I had a feeling it might make a nice wallpaper with the frame and all. Please give me some input, some comments, and thanx so much for stopping in here..

It does seem to sit low doesn't it Verena?. I also see a house to the right that looks very similar. I'm so glad I could be one of the first to tell you how absolutely beautiful this is. You have the most amazing landscapes where you live. Thank you so much for sharing this masterpiece with us.

You manage to get the most wonderful skies... and the rest of the scene to go with it... this one gives me that "wide, big sky" feeling... odd house tho'.

A very sharp image Verena. Wonderful lighting & I like the shadow play. The landscape is absolutely beautiful surrounding the building. I love how you got the hillside in the background ... gives the image nice depth. Very nicely done.

You've got such an eye for the unusual and interesting things. I love the colors, the clarity, the comp (the important 3-C's). Your framing is perfect for the picture and draws out the richness of the colors. Best of all, it pulls me into the scene and lets me imagine being there. Makes a great DT too!

I'm wondering if this is actually a house or some type of machine shed, utility building or something. I like your capture of it whatever it is & of the landscape nearby! I like the house on the hill in the background as well.

This is a very interesting looking house. Was it built this low in the ground, or did it really "sink". Whatever, you have captured it well and its beautiful pastoral surroundings too.

I encountered the photograph already with votes and him a high score have given. It is certainly low, but beautiful house. Is it still inhabited?

I was quite impressed by this when I found it in the voting booth. It’s one of the better ones tonight. I especially like the tones in the old timbers. It’s a totally fascinating building that looks real good too.

Great photo of a fascinating old building. I'm really glad to see that someone put a nice metal roof on it. That should keep it from deteriorating for a while.

Okay, a little paint, some minor repairs and a bit of lawn work and this thing should sell for a couple hundred grand.
Wonderful scene Verena, beautifully captured.
