I took a small break from photography and friends, due to the ongoing crisis my family has been going thru. But today I went out and took a few pics...and since we have so much fog here in our little valley, it was so pretty the way it was laying around the foothills of the Mountain range near our home..plus there is a heavy duty storm brewing, we are expected to have some severe weather here tonight and more..This photo is of a nearby golf course, I thought the birch trees were so nice too..I'm glad to be back and hope this year will bring better things for all. Thank you all for being here and for all your good comments....

You have a golf in your garden?!? I would like to live in Oregon... ;-)
What a strong sky... Is the weather very hot, like in Europe?

This is really so very nice Verena, I just love all the different textures and I agree about the tree - it anchors the scene and gives great perspective. Exceptional :)

Nice to have you back and hope that the bad times melt away into some good time for you in this new year..and happy new year, by the way:) You've certainly given us a grand view here with those peculiar clouds hanging about in the background there...they certainly are lovely and I love birch trees, so you've hooked me on that one....nice job, Verena.

The saturation, contrast, composition and content is great! I really like how they all combine to make an interesting emotive landscape. The only thing I could suggest is adding a filter to get a bit more texture out of the clouds (but this is really minor).

Great shot, thanks for sharing! This one went straight to my favs!

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Fantastic shot. this has to go straight in to the favourites. The colours are so Wintery, this will make another fantastic background on my computer (you are after all the background queen!!)

i love the wisps of cloud, and teh very Wintery feel. excellent work.

The birch tree makes for a great focal point / the clouds look very dramatic — outstanding shot
