Seeing Mt.Hood from where I live is pretty rare, but for some reason it showed up real good yesterday, Sunday, so stopped my car real quick and shot this scene. I just loved how the sun was setting and casting a real glow on the mountain. One of those rare shots!(at least for me!)

Kudos Verena! Rare photos are treasures and this mountain appears almost like an apparition.... It's a very beautiful desk top image and what a keeper!

This is a great capture, Verena. Well done. If you were in the Himalayas at sunrise you would see these scenes all the time.

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
