I went to the Ocean on Saturday and as I traveled up on Neakhanie Mountain, I looked down at this familiar view, and that ring of clouds was so beautiful. I had to take some shots and share them. The colours, the sun and the weather was perfect. I know you'll enjoy the small series of the Coast photos I'll be posting. Thanx for any comments.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??
I like the name of the mountain X. It was obviously named by the Indians and it has such a melodic ring to it. Did you look for the hidden treasure? I like the sweeping look of the clouds and the entire scene from the mountain of mystery.

Now then Verena, I was just sitting here thinking about looking at some images and this one popped up in 'featured'. What a cracker! There's so much wonderful detail and contrast in those clouds, which make the shot. But then the dark presence of the mountains underneath and the gorgeous curve of the bay make it very special too. I like your foreground interest in the left hand corner, which gives it all a sense of scale. I had to fave this one.
