I can't believe it! I was able to finally upload again after a seven week absence. Thanx to the help of a dear lady friend in caedes! Here is a photo I posted before, but felt it would be good to do it in b&w. This photo is taken while I was waiting to visit someone in the women's correctional facility(prison). These wicked razor wires are so frightening and as I looked up at this gruesome fence and there was the little bird.! So here is portrayed being imprisoned and yet free. I wasn't sure which gallery to put this in. Please comment.

Yes, it is. Beautiful photo. Symbole of freedom.
Did you know it? It was here in Hungary, 20 years ago today: Pan-European Picnic, Iron Curtain. I was only 11.

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

This post tells more than thousand words Verena and would be a very good entry for the B&W contest. See above that Les was already helpful to you.
Wish you all the best!

A very solemn post X. I remember it from before. It does designate freedom and it is very important on this Eighth Anniversary of 9/11.

Nice to see you back again.

I'm glad to see you can upload pictures again, Verena. This is a very unique picture. It would be a great entry for the contest. That bird better be careful taking off, or he might lose a few feathers. Very nice image.

Great image Verena, real contrasts between the bird and its freedom to go anywhere and the razor wire and all that it symbolises. An opportunity well spotted and well captured!
