The day I found this old barn was such a pretty day. The light seemed just right, and the sky. I almost passed by this and then noticed the light coming right thru the barn..so I backed up and took this shot...Please enjoy.

Howdy!
The barn is great but the sky is fantastic! Your angle and composition are perfect! May I ask where this old barn is?

Wow! That's really well done, the barn in the darkness in contrast with a painted sky.
Congrats & faved.

Umm...Barns are spooky and spidery...YUK! Condemn that property...and put up a haunted house! (Puts on dark glasses) Much too light!

Nice capture...B(l)OO!

That's my kind of barn. Old and weathered. Very nice surroundings too. I like the grasses, and that field behind it. Great sky.
Very nice capture, Verena.

Verena this is fantastic! I think you found a portal through time. Good thing you didn't step INTO the barn! It's magical and strangely inviting.

Beautiful capture Verena, that sky is spectular and like the way you can see through the barn, poor barn it sure needs tender loving care.

Oh Verena, I'm so glad you decided to pull over and take this shot! I'm amazed that this barn remains standing, with the back side nearly gone, and sunlight pouring through all the open crevices! I love the colour tones you captured here, particularly the soft greens! I can't help but wonder what this place looked like in it's hay day! I see faded red staining near the eaves... I would assume the barn at some point was shiny red! I also like the remnants of fencing and other farming elements in the foreground, that is now being taken over by climbing vines and tall grasses! Indeed, it was a beautiful day, with clear skies and streaked clouds and glorious sun rays! A most excellent composition and post! Saved + faved.

Really good Verena, the harsh light is just right in this shot to give it a surreal quality. It's just a pity the barn is cropped on the left and there's not more foreground, but the whole thing has a 'transparent' feel that's very original.
