This creek was originally named by Lewis and Clark as Willard Creek and in 1862 a group of prospectors renamed it Grasshopper Creek due to there being a huge amount of those insects. Gold was found that same year. The gold found in Grasshopper Creek was 90-99.5% pure, compared to other gold found elsewhere that was 95% pure. This is such a lovely stream, gurgles so quietly. A most wonderful place to visit.(I scanned this photo of mine, please comment)

The lovely black frame does give it the appearance of a travelogue. It still looks pretty golden to me.

Looks like one of those creeks that should have gold! Love that Juniper and sage brush that is found all over the area. This creek still has a lot of water running through it. A pretty sight.

Such a beautiful place. She must hold even more secrets than the gold.

Love all the earthy colors! Beautiful scene girl! I don't know what to tell you about the quality cause I wouldn't have any idea how to fix pics that were scanned.
