2/3 of a Hibiscus. The little yellows dots near the stamen are pieces of pollen suspended by a spider web. I thought I had a spec on my lens at first but then I realized it's on all my pictures of this particular bloom.

This is quite a remakable capture. I like the angle you took on the blossom. Nice compositon and a very clear image. I've seen these blossoms in my sons back yard and they are huge. Lovely to look at until they die off rather rapidly and make a mess all over the patio. :o)

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.
