Had a wonderful morning shooting down at the river only to come back and find that I had left my aperature compensation at -2 so everything came out under exposed. This was one of the few that were salvagable. (No, I wasn't airborne when I took this shot).

Well, yes, it is a little dark but I think it was definitely worth running up the flagpole..my boo-boos with my camera are one of the reasons I love Photoshop..just my two cents worth, but I like the comment you made about not being airborne, because I was going to ask you how your flight lessons are coming along... lol :) I love the sense of purpose all geese have around this time of year, and you've captured that feeling very well in this clear and well-composed shot :)PJ

I really enjoying watching the C. geese going over my house twice a year on the way to and from. You've done a good job capturing the scene.

Fantastic shot! There is a good sense of forward motion. The detail of the birds wing-tip feathers helps with that. I also like that the geese are the only thing in the photo. There is nothing else in the frame to distract the viewer. The soft pastel blue of the sky accenuates the birds nicely as well. I like it. Sorry to here about the camera setting. I would have liked to see more.

If you captured these at low level flight ... this is a more than an adequate capture. If you caught these using zoom power the capture becomes quite amazing. I'm enjoying viewing the various wing positions in flight ... particularly the wings in the lower left hand portion pointing straight down. Exceptionally clear. Thanks for "heads-up" on this one Rob. I wouldn't have wanted to miss this "salvagable" shot. :o) (TYU)

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

Wish I'd had a chance to vote on this one, because I would have given it a 9. No, it's not perfect, but it's damn good.
