Gregg and John are posting pictures of such uncolorful birds (achem - that's sarcasm folks before anyone starts flaming away at me) that I thought I'd post one of a MUCH more colorful bird. I'm posting one with a red dot on back of his head. All this peer pressure is SOooo hard to take.

Nice pic. You Photoshopped that red dot in just the right place. Great work...it looks so natural. This will make them cry. Oh...oops...we are on the air aren't we?

After I posted this I thought perhaps I should have said they were posting in B&W and I'm posting in color.

This is a fine shot Rob ... I like the pose you caught him in and the backdrop is very complimentary. Good DOF here. I can't speak for Gregg, but as for myself I am much too mature to be upset over your taunting about color. We are all grownups here at Caedes. Very good one Rob, and I agree with Muggsy about all that other stuff. The male woodpeckers are harder to get than the females, you did good here.

Very cute little bird and a nice capture. I've never seen one that small before, and I'm waiting to take one of the beauties that live around here. I'll give you this link to a picture of one that this artist Ron Day captured. It's a pileated woodpecker and they're quite large. Nice work, and I think I'm better off outta ya'll's bird competition anyway..lol :) Pileated Woodpecker
