Boy would I liked to have seen this with that water color lower left all the way across the image as background. Looks like you stopped the action here spot on ... trouble is the right wing is lost in the dark shadow. But the left wing is clear as a bell. Don't that frost your you-know-whats? :o)

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.
It’s a shame about the dark band obliterating the bird’s head. Without that, this shot would have been a killer for sure. However you deserve a pat on the back for getting so much detail into a fast and close shot.

Well this is good Rob...I can attest this is not easy as I am attempting the same thing down at river as there is flock of Goldeneyes and Mergansers there right now....gerry
