this was my first go at trying to do something like nmsmith. i was looking thru his tutorials and played around a bit and came up with this. i thought it was pretty awesome for a first try. what do you guys think? it reminded me of sonic the hedgehog!

Great first try, indeed. It's too heavy on the gold for my tastes (but I say that about lots of nmsmith's too) but the blue colours are beautiful and the goldwork looks very nicely done to me, even if I'm less attracted to it than many others.

I really think you did so well with this first try. Nathans creations are fantastic, and when I first saw this one, I thought maybe he had done it....so you just keep working on this and I KNOW beyond a doubt you will excell also...This is just beautiful....Verena
