It looks good to me Wayne. She sure is a beautiful lady with those flashing blue eyes. I feel you have captured her lively spirit. To me that makes it very successful.
Nice post.
What kind of flash was used? Assuming it was the camera's built-in, I'd like to suggest a couple of things. First, try lowering the flash level to -2/3. Second, and yes I'm serious here, drape a square of toilet paper over the flash (or several depending on the look you want). That will diffuse the bright light, and reduce or eliminate the hotspots on your madel's face. Lastly, unless this was an impromtu shot, have your model wash her face. Not kidding here either. Oils on the skin's surface act like a mirror to a flash.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
And a very nice attempt it is, Wayne. Good job. Third_eye's suggestion on the toilet paper is a good one and works as he says. Although valid I must disagree with the suggestion to have the model wash her face simply because I think there is no way in hell that your going to get her - or most any woman - to remove their make up so you can then immortalize them forever in a photograph. If you can your quite the talker and could likely give all us men some lessons -
Nice post.
