My boss' son got this shot of a lifetime during a Pheasant hunt early 2007. This was a classic "Shot from the hip" lottery winner here. I'm immensely impressed.

I have been asked to comment on this photo and well I am afraid I cannot say anything positive. The subject of the photo I dislike intensely, but disregarding that fact and looking at the photograph as a whole, I think you need to crop a lot of that blue sky out - there is too much open space and some glare to the top left! Sorry I cannot be more positive - I am being honest!

The only shooting I do is with my camera, whether the photo is well taken or not is of no concern to me !!
As a birdwatcher, and a keen wildlife observer all I can say is I hate this subject, and wouldn't hesitate to give it a zero in the VB if I saw it :o(

I am sorry that so many of you dislike the subject of this photo. I feel that I should mention to all of you however that this hunt took place near a farm where the pheasants are actually damaging the crops due to their large population. Not only that but all the meat from this bird and the others taken was used as dinner that very night for a group of people. This was not purely killing for sport, but an enjoyable afternoon that had secondary benefits as well. I do not apologize for this shot at all.
