I took this photo but accidentally edited it too small to fit desktop measurements so attempted to center it on a black background. Please let me know what you think...Any suggestions on how to make a non-background-sized photo looking good as a background would be greatly appreciated! :)

The flower itself came out wonderfully well, bright and crisp and lovely to look at. I can't give you any advice because I don't know what software you are using or what you can do with your camera as far as editing ...I'd be happy to try to help you with what limited knowledge I have..my email addy is on my profile :)

This is darn good the way it is, but enlarging just the flower image is very easy in just about any image-editing program. Open just the flower, then find some reference to Resize Image, or similar function. Enter the size (in pixels) you want it to be, and you're done. Programs will interpolate the "missing" pixels as the image is enlarged. There may be some loss of sharpness, because we live in an imperfect world! As a former Michigander, I hope you are enjoying Grand Valley State U.

I have to agree with the sailorman - really like it the way it is. The problem with enlarging small pictures is that you loose quality. The pixels are reproduced by software which may lead to a more or less grainy picture, depending on the original picture and enlargement ratio. I suggest you give it a try and find out by yourself whether you like the result or not.
Thumbs up on this one... :)

This is so cool…very whimsical, I really enjoy looking at pics like this. Very unique and lighthearted. I love the deep colors of the flower and the framing you used. Great job!
