I was fascinated by these lovers I found on a garden gate here so I went back for a closer look. Only 2 more days til Valentine's Day! "When love has melted and mingled two beings into an angelic and sacred unity, the secret of life is found for them; they are then but the two terms of a single destiny; they are then but the two wings of a single spirit. Love, soar!" Victor Hugo, Les Miserables

This is lovely - what a find! There is so much to say about this - the orginal artist who designed it, the person who made it, then you came along and photographed it with such clarity and framed it so aptly! What more can be done to create perfection! Well done!

Aww that's sweet. They're all caught up in conversation and he looks like he's about to kiss her. When you look closely though she looks slightly as though she's turning her nose up... Terrific detail in this Hilda, well spotted!

Wonderful detail and presentation on this garden gate sculpture. I especially like how you picked up the leaves, colored them and used them as part of your framing. Great job!

Wonderfully done, Hilda. The black to red emphasizes a kind of yin/yang symbolism and the repeating theme of the leaves is a clever addition. Clarity of the statue is excellent too.
