This is my first stab at night time photography (other than fireworks). The Caedes get-together in DC seemed like a good time to give it a go. Any input on how to improve in this area will be appreciated. I'd say this one should definitely be seen at night - it was my favorite.

What a great shot, Hilda..this looks wonderful and such a stupendous memorial.

You got a truly fine photo under some very trying conditions.

It's been years since I've been to DC, and I never caught this monument. A great 1st night time attempt, Hilda!

I think it's good Hilda, and a good way to present this moving monument to the sacrifices made in the last war. I don't know that I have any suggestions for improvement other than perhaps warming up the light slightly. A neat shot - I take it you used a tripod to get the long exposure?

Wonderfully composed, Hilda. Perhaps a tad less shadow might help, but it's a matter of taste, not quality. Well done :o)

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

Very beautiful night shot! My only suggestion would be to straighten the image a bit. the fountain has a bit of a tilt, which for me detracts a bit from the overall picture. So beautiful!
