Another picture from the zoo. Mom and child. Enjoy! Habitat, distribution and food. In former days from Morocco to Libya and Egypt, but reach now only still but for in the cedar bunches the Atlas mountains in Morocco and Algeria prevented the Barbary Macaque, up to 2000 meters altitude. He eats also animal material, from insecten to birds, where especially caterpillars are part important of its diet. The Barbary Macaque have cheek pockets, in which he can store food. Barbary Macaque in Europe. In Europe Barbary Macaque prevent only in wild on the rock of gibraltar, where a populatie is artificially loved thirty up to forty animals in score. The legend goes that as long as there monkeys on the rock live gibraltar remains in hands of at. At does therefore everything ensure that the monkeys on the rock remain.

So lovely a picture and sentiment. I saw these monkeys in the Cedar Forest in northern Morocco. They come right up to you and even climb all over your car. One of my daughters got too close to one and he bit her.

Prachtig is de foto. Moeder aap beschermd haar kleintje goed, maar de kleine verstopt haar hoofd voor jullie. Heb je ook nog apen in je armen gehad?

Splendidly the photograph is. Mother monkey protected its little one good, but little one hides its head for your. Have you had also still monkeys in your arms?

What a wonderful shot Wil. Mom is certainly protective. I have a friend that was the curator of primates at the Houston Zoo and often got a 'back door' tour and loved every minute with the different primates. Great job here. Thanks for sharing this. Anita
