Last week on Sunday made in Megen, a little old town. A lot of people walking in clothing of the time of the Les Gueux. (Dutch: Geuzen), or The Beggars, was a name assumed by the confederacy of nobles and other malcontents, who in 1566 opposed Spanish rule in the Netherlands. The most successful group of them operated at sea, and so were called Gueux de mer or Sea Beggars (Dutch: Watergeuzen). In the Eighty Years' War, the capture of Brielle by the Gueux de mer in 1572 was the first foothold on land for the rebels, who would conquer the northern Netherlands and become independent as the Dutch Republic. Also these men and woman were there with its birds of prey, eagle, falcons and owls. Also he had a vulture. At its show the children could if they wanted let land also to the falcons on their arm. And in fact it wanted them, however, all. He did terribly well with the children, because really a show for and by them was. It was a wonderful show, I like eagles very much.
