Allen. Not sure what the stars were for. Might have been for the number of passengers that tossed there cookies. :)
The L39 is capable of just under the speed of sound. In fact automatic speed brakes are deployed as you get close. In a slight dive you could easily create a sonic boom without them. It was an unreal experience. Right after takeoff he made a hard turn and came down the runway 12 feet off the deck at more than 250 knots.
