Thanks for the great comments, even if whocares is a former friend who happened to be there when the photo was taken... I can't wait till the winter so I can try to get some more shots of the ice. (of course, the skiing is the important thing) :)
Thanks, everyone. The snow was probably a couple feet deep, even where it was packed. It's hard to guess now, 2001-02 was a pretty dry year in the Northeast US. There's a warming hut at the top that I've seen totally buried, with a path cut down into the snow to get in. That time, I remember seeing almost the whole building.
too bad its a little blurry, from the thumbnail i thought how the heck does this have such a low rating? if you somehow can get a clearer shot of this (from a better scan or something) i would be very interested
One word comes to mind when I view this-IMPRISONED, only to be released by the warden of Spring. What more can I say.
