As it is, it's practically direct off the camera. I thought the blue tint was just too cool to lose. :)
Only difference is that I dropped the file size from the original ~1.2meg. I didn't try to fix the graininess, well, basically, I haven't had the time. But if you want to try, feel free.
As for where it is, you'd never know, (yes, it's that small of a town) but it's in a fairly rural area near Albany, NY. (Closer to the NY/MA/VT Border)
Lacking a tripod, I had to brace the camera on a tree to keep from shaking during the exposure.
Thanks for the comments!
Hehe, funny you mention that, Keith. I was down there tonight taking photos in the dark, and just as I was about to finish up, something large started splashing around in the water. Needless to say, in the dark, alone, I left in a hurry. Thinking back, it was probably something small like a beaver, but when you can't see more than a few feet, that adrenaline takes over... :)
I really like this image. It's dark, errie and mysterious. Great capture, nice framing. I think it makes a perfect desktop. Not too dark at all, it's just right. 10/10 favs.
just wanted to comment on this one, since i had d/l it years ago.. i still have it as a matter of fact.. it was one of the very first images i ever looked at on here.. its just as fantastic now, as it was that first time too..
"i give it a ten.. a ten!.. a %)(&*^ ten!!" lol (lil comment from Varsity Blues)
Just want to say thanks to everyone who's still enjoying this old photo and taking time to comment. One of these days I'll retake a similar shot with much better quality to share.
