Elk Pass, between Nippletop and Mt. Colvin in New York's Adirondacks. Nice and squishy trail through this area!

I like the reflection, looks nice and peaceful there. Was this where 'Dark Swamp' was taken?

Yes, it sure looks similar to that other swamp picture.

No, it's like 150 miles difference. I like this one better, actually, I don't really like "Dark Swamp" that much anymore. It's too light and blurry, I prefer the silhouette effect here.
I actually just edited up another photo from that area, with a similar "silhouette" appearance, but decided it would be too much of the same thing.

Just now found this gorgeous shot. Excellent work, and I love the silhouette effect.

This really deserves a better mark...it is a great shot! Silhouettes always make a great desktop image. Really like the foreground that breaks the mirror reflection of the background. Nice capture:-)

I've always had a thing for a reflection that reveals more than the direct view itself, whether it be because the picture is framed low, showing more in the reflection than above it, or just because the angle from the reflection exposes more detail. In this case, the tops of the trees to the right of the photo's center make a relatively straight line of dark silhouette when viewed head on. The reflection is essentially looking at them more against the sky than against more dark trees, revealing more of the treetops. Don't know if anyone else sees that or it sounds crazy but I think it's really cool. Agree with Darryl that the C-index is a bit low. Hope my vote brings it up a notch, nice capture~

Hope my vote helps you out. I agree on the c-index part. Nice image. Is this taken at dusk or dawn?
