This was a shot of a drain in the 9th Ward in New Orleans. There was still a small flow of water running on the street. Six months later and the water still haunts.
Isn't is amazing that the water is still draining out of the city? It certainly gives the viewer an idea of just how much water invaded New Orleans and how it permeated everything in it's way. Thanks again Dj...:~)
Of all the images I've seen this is one of the most meaningful shots you could post. We keep seeing the word "aftermath" used and overused by every media outlet. Aftermath says that something is over or gone. This plain, little flow into that drain shows that it's all still very much with us. Good choice to post.
Hi DJ. I like this shot. As you recall I shot several here as well, but I couldn't find one that portrayed what we saw as well as this one. The black and white is really powerful, isn't it?
