Hi Carol, This is a daylily and a most beautifully colored one at that. Did you photograph this in New York? It seems early for them to be blooming there. Getting everything in focus is difficult with these sometimes because the pistels and stamen stick out so far. I'm looking forward to seeing some of these blooming in my garden in Oregon in about a month. Good picture.

A gorgeous daylily Carol ! I love them ! And it looks like a miniture actually, but Joanne's right, it's a little bit too early for these in NewYork. Where were you, in a friend's protected garden, maybe ? Still, a great shot, beautiful color, clear & crisp, nicely done !

Hi there Carol. What a wonderfully bright and bold day lily that you have captured. The color is very eye=catching! If ind these sometimes difficult to shoot, especially close-up, my focal point goes north when Ia m shooting south!!! lol......you still managed to pull off a nice vivid bloom to share with us. Thank you :~)
Thank you also for your kind words on ~soft pink~; I stopped the car and jumped (okay slowly crawled out) to get the picture while Mother Nature was providing me with an awesome lighting job! She does the best most of the time. I am glad you too were able to enjoy it with me. Your continued support, comments, critique's are deeply appreciated :~)
