Frustrated; could not get effects i wanted. uploading raw version, straight from Apop (resize only). Please tell me what this image needs in terms of post work. Blur? Localized blur? Has anyone tried to render separate parts of the flame (the ones that come out grainy) and resize them and paste them into the overall image? thanks for any comment.

Hi Jenny, I think that this is a beautiful fractal as it is! The colors are dynamic in soft and elegant ways! They are stiking with rich tones of well blended hues! I like the photo, and am thinking that you are doing fine with this phase of your art, and I applaud you!! My hat is off to you and I hope to see much more of your work! I also like the design! Sincerely, Marilyn

Lovely just as it is from me too!
I like the smooth softness that it has and the lines blend in so nicely.
I have never tried to copy and paste into fractals although I have played with them quite a bit in the past. Might I suggest you talk to Jacqueline about her fractal work, I know she puts a lot of work into them.

Whether or not it's exactly what you intended, it remains an effective abstract.

Great image as it is with an ominous feel. Cannot use Apop. myself, so no advice there. I like it as it is although it looks like an obstruction rather than a gate - perhaps a closed and locked gateway to the stars, but definitely not an opening. It gives a sense of being trapped by those massive straight things. I can imagine them clicking into place to form a complete barrier - already the gate is complete enough to block escape. Soon we will be unable to even glimpse beyond the confines of this space cell...
