I also think that every fractal artist should have a fractal tree in their gallery, and here is mine. . Yggdrasil was a planet-sized (I assume) tree in Norse mythology, with the main theme running through the above-mentioned mythology being the ongoing battle between cold (ice, blue) and fire (red, oranges), hence the colors.

I love trees and leaves, and your fabulous creation here is no exception, Jen!

One must view this full screen in order to appreciate the fine details. The trunk truly resembles bamboo, and I love the curling clusters of branches/leaves that appear to be swaying in the wind! I'm also loving the finials at the top of your tree and each cluster! Beautiful gradient as well. Your tree has a touch of an Asian flair to it, but I like your description too :) Excellent work! Of course, it's saved & faved+

Nice work! I don't yet have a fractals tree myself :(
(Yggdrasil is the tree that has it's top in Asgard {heaven), it's trunk supports Midgard (Earth) and it's roots are in Hel (no explanation needed). All you lack is the eagle at the crown, the dragon at the root, and the squirrel who carries insults between the two!)

Well-named! When I first saw it, I thought "Tree of Life" and I may not have been that far off. Many of these very ancient myths and stories are so similar one must wonder if they had a mutual source. Love the colors, the "Wheel of Heaven", and the stars.
