This is either a Zinnia or a Dahlia. I took this picture at Parlee Farm in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts. Every fall, the farm has a whole field of these flowers and sunflowers for cutting. I have a blast taking pictures there. I love how it looks like more little flowers are growing out of the center of the flower. I'll post more from Parlee Farm . . .

This and the following one are both zinnias. Lovely picture. The red is just stunning.

It is a lovely flower. The center could be improved with a bit of Sharpen.
The composition is very static, from using the exact center, and with such a close shot, throwing the background out of focus, you could concievably use almost any angle, to get the stem and flower out of dead center. If the pistil/stamens, are the center of interest, you might have cropped an even tighter shot.
It's a beauty, but a bit of experimentation can improve it.

It is a lovely flower with great colour. Yes .. the centre is really interesting ..lots of nice chatic detail. A nice shot!
I would like to see more DOF to get the petal textures.
