Step 4: Ready for takeoff!
Last one of the little maggot maker, I promise.

The lens I used for theses shots was the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro lens with a full set of Kenko Extension Tubes. The extension tubes double the size of the subject when used with this lens.

None of these came out quite as well as I had hoped but not too bad for a first go at larger than life photography.

OK. Now I see. Where is the little wind up thingy? Does it really fly around, or does it just sort of hop on the table? LOL. You are making this fly famous. Very nice work.

Now I know what those annoying things look like close up.
The clarity is outstanding in this photo. Nothing wrong with this photo.

A fantastic set of closeup captures of the fly. Good clarity and details in the shot. Very nicely done.

In order to discover who you are, first learn who everybody else is; you're what's left.

This one is really good. Now time to move on, catch some spiders and start shooting :)

If "Ignorance is bliss", then why should we seek knowledge?

This looks like an alien. Coool - to see, but not in real life.
