Ranging from bright afternoon sunlight reflected off the trees to the deep dark shadows under the wheel, The lighting here is pretty much impossible any time of day. Even overcast days are difficult. The natural solution of course is multiple shots combined into one. For all of my recent posts of this place I have used a plugin for Lightroom called LR/Enfuse. The stand alone program can be had for free as EnfuseGUI. It is open source software and well worth a look. Enfuse creates a merged image with every thing exposed properly ready for editing to make it pop.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

DP, I like to agree with you about the difficult lighting conditions.

It's not clear to me whether you've used multiple shots combined in one together with the plugin or not, the result however is very good.

Well done.
