Roll out the Red Carpet

Submitted by Samatar 02/19/04 1:15 AM GMT

Ladies, select your finest gowns... gentlemen lay out your tuxedos. Sunday the 29th of February is date for the most anticipated awards ceremony of the year... no, not the Oscars; the announcement of the winners in our latest contest, "Manipulation"! So smile for the cameras and have your acceptance speeches ready... who knows, you may be walking away with a coveted HNotDa this year...

PS If you haven't already entered it's not too late! Entries close midnight on Sunday 22nd though, so get cracking! There may be a few new award categories this time around, so even if you've never entered before it's definitely worth having a go...

Hmmm, HNotDa . . . does it stand for "Help! Not Doubledeluxedanishdonuts again"? Just guessing. ;^)

LOL... "HNotDA" stands for "Honorable Knight of the Digital Arts", one of two prizes normally awarded in the contests. The other, "Omnipotent Weilder of the Guilded Shutter" isn't really applicable in this contest (unless we give it to Klas of course...)

Actually, the way I understand it, the "Manipulation" contest gallery will be prejudged by a selection of talented members and then their selections will be past on for final judging and awards selection by the ImageMods & Mr. Caedes. :c)

Not to get on anyone's case, but the title that we confer is "HKotDA" since "knight" is spelled with a "k". I have to admit that I was the first to make that mistake, and even though I went all through the site fixing the error it still pops up to haunt me. =)

^_^ I too think this has been most inspiring to be a part of all of this. I'm still in awe for what all the great artists here on caedes have created. I couldn't be more happy with the result than this. All the great artistic visions and new perspectives that were added to my original shots was allmost more than I hoped for. :) Kudos goes to all the brilliant contestants who brought to life their own visions from my simple photos. I'm deeply humbled to see what you did.

I'm in for that virtual drink Avi.

Cheers. ^_^
