Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill
Hello Photo Guy, thanks for your comment you wrote on one of my postings.
Just had a quick view to your work as well, my 2 favorites are the staircase and the mountain shot.
Thanks !
Thanks for taking the time to comment on my piece; "Autumnal Face."
I do agree with you in that the original, as I said, was indeed 'stunning.' And I am not being facetious either. I was lucky to have such a photo to work with and tried to at least add something, albeit a personal take if you will. I have no problems with a dissenting opinion ... in fact, I appreciate that as much as the edifying comments.
Give me some time to get to your gallery of works ... I took a quick tour and to be redundant ... you have some stunning shots in there too. I promise not to 'touch' any. :oP

The picture “Heron Head” was shot at Saylorville Lake north of Des Moines Iowa. The lake is home to Herons, Eagles and Osprey all year and migrating Pelicans twice a year. All my shots are hand held but the lenses I use have image stabilization. This picture was taken with a Canon 5D and a Canon 100-400 IS L zoom with a Tamron 300F-CA 2x converter. The EXIF file says 1/1000th for a shutter speed at F-11 with an ISO of 800.
Thanks such a lot for taking the time to comment on Autumn Checked Out (and repeat them when you lost them first time lol). I really appreciate your kindness :-)
Hi Canuck, thanks for your kind remarks on the Constructive Criticism piece I uploaded. It wasn't very well received for the most part but I hope it at least helped to encourage folks to try harder to give some usable feedback to one another. Appreciate you taking the time to read and comment on it. Blessings, anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
Thank you for your nice comment about Mt Hood, but the reason I did the mountain with the trees in front, was to add a bit of 'mystery' to the whole thing...due to the sun peeking in so nicely behind the trees. But I am always liking it when people enjoy my photos..thax again..verena
Thanks for your suggestions on my rose. Here's what I posted there:
Hey, don't feel bad. Although I like praises criteques help me the most. I understand all of your points. I do have to say, though, it was a very dark day and this rose was much smaller than it looks. Getting the camera to focus without any blur was an extremely hard task. I was actually out taking pictures of something else when I saw the water in the rose and thought I would attempt to get a picture of it. I'll tweak it a little in PS, brighten and maybe sharpen it some, anything else you suggest I do??

The comment you left on my profile reminded me of a time when I was out taking pictures with far too big gloves. :) Had trouble finding the button to take the picture. I completely understand about the cold and overcast, it does that sometimes to my pictures as well. Ashley

Hi, thanks for stopping by 'Normanton Church Tower'. I tried it in a variety of tones (B&W, sepia etc) but still preferred the original. I'm working on other effects in Photoshop at the moment. Your comments are always very much appreciated...thanks again...Jacquie

I'm happy to hear you liked the shot "Desktop Rose" even though there was an issue that almost kept me from uploading it. Somehow I inadvertently reduced the JPG quality to 75 losing some of its impact. Also the graininess you referred to was not a result of a high ISO, but instead a case where I had notched up the sharpness in my camera (Canon A700), and simply overlooked 'unsharpening' before the upload. My mistake, but for those of you who might like a little less grain, you may 'unsharpen' in your editing program. I wish I could resubmit, but what's done is done.......Neil

Hi Photo Guy. Glad to hear YOU liked "To Holland with Love". because apparently no one else did {generating a score of only 13} and so Caedes nixed it. Thanks again for all your generous comments............Neil
Sometimes you need to stop thinking so much and go where your heart takes you.... I apologize for not comment on images lately, it seems autumn is a busy time of the year for my work...
Great to hear from you again Photo guy in reference to "Jezabel II" Your comments are always appreciated. Regarding the graininess: My cameras are all point and shoot and with the exception of the Fuji FinePix F30 which I rarely use for flowers, I never shoot over ISO 200, because I detest NOISE. My explanation for the grain (which I also dislike) is that I have a tendency to overshapen, I guess without realizing it. Have a great day.......Neil
Hi Photo Guy, thanks for your compliments on "Fall Moon". This was one of those that I rushed home, grabbed the camera and ran back out. As it was, I almost missed the trees. Thanks again!
Hi, sorry I've not been on top of your recent posts. At the moment, I am involved in other projects that will take me away from Caedes for a while. I've just had a chance to catch up , and want to let you know that you are continuing to create one very unique collection of images. I will check in from time to time, but meanwhile, I send very best wishes for Xmas and every success for the New Year...take care..Jacquie
Thanks again for your positive comments , this time for "Essence of spring". I am truly appreciative that you enjoy my springtime photos here in our winter wonderland...Neil
Thanks for your comments on 'December Sunrise'. My daughter and I woke up just before the sun rose and we almost didn't get out in time, but I managed to get this one. We hope to do more shots like this, when the temperature goes above 30 again!

Glad if I helped at all (re Red/Blue Burst critique). Most of the time I find it difficult to say exactly what I feel about a photo in case I upset someone! Look foward to seeing a revised pic? Kate

Thanks so much - you were instrumental in making me do the deed and take pics of the Eclipse of the Moon! What a shame you were not able to see it - quite a sight right at the end, though the in-between bits were just hard work and bloomin ffffreezing! lol Kate
Thanks for commenting on my picture “Water Tension”. Kermit’s pond is still frozen but it is 75 degrees out today so it won’t be long before Kermit is back in action.
Hey there Mister Madman, wat'cha know that I don't know
