That was taken in m hometown near Dresden. The name is "Mahnmal des gefallenen Kriegers" ("Memorial of fallen soldier"). It is at our graveyard and remembers on World War I. I have not counted, but there are many cruses for remembering.

About Lake Lure I really live in the mountains of Tennessee not North Carolina but it looks the same. I do like it here with the mild four season climate and mountains,

Aw Thanks Mich! I do know you love mountains and I sure love them too! The mountains in which you see here are called the Bitteroot Mountain Range which is mostly considered to be part of the Rocky Mountains. I'd rather be on a mountain top than a beach anyday. Nothing beats clean mountain air!

Thanks for commenting on the "Bison Ranch" Mich! It was one of the odder places I've ever stayed except for a resort where the rooms were designed to look like "the Flintstones" stone age home
Playa Hermosa in English...Beautiful Beach I'm rather partial to it myself. It is a black sand beach.
It was so cheap during rainy season I had to see Costa Rica for myself...The only mishap I was stung by a jellyfish very badly.
It rained half the day then the sun was out for 1 hour more rain but cleared up for sunset ....one of my favorite sights were trees full of howler monkeys I have seen them in the zoo but never in the wild..thanks for your nice comment Mich!
