Moon Uploaded: 04/20/08 2:33 PM GMT

Image: Moon

One of my very own astronomy images. The Moon taken using afocal photography on a XT10 10" telescope with 25mm EP (48x) and no filters. This is my first try, so be gentle!

Thanx. It's not *my* space pictures, though. All the credit for them needs to go to NASA. The only thing I do is find them, resize them and do a bit of Photoshop work on them (Removing blemishes, adding black backgrounds etc) and then making them available easier.

Thanks for viewing and commenting on "Bees-n-Butterfly". I used a lot of patience and a lot of tries to get them in the shot. There were actually two butterflies that I was trying to capture together, but wasn't able. I almost didn't post this shot because of the out of focus issue with the bee on the left (I have a Kodak 7430 point-and-shoot camera...I was experimenting with the "close up" mode), but I decided to go ahead because I liked it overall.

I really appreciate that you took the time to make your comments, it means a lot to me.

Thanks KJ for your comments on "If Only I Could Talk (Collaboration)". The area this image was taken is among some the oldest settled area of Washington State. During its early years it was some of the first farmed areas of the state and a center of produce down the Columbia River to the hungry gold rush parts of California.

ok well,i am pleased that you responded so quickly.
seems to me that everyone thiks the same way(improvement and things like this).useful advice and remove this are a bit different to me.let me give you an example.sunset shot, bad quality and a lot of powerlines(i wasn t able to find the picture that i am talking about).somebody says it s a good photo but power lines should be removed.fine lets remove power lines and what do we have -red sky, some red clouds and the black land--we got photo like hundreds of other sunset pics.
ok i got anotherone-sea and mountains on the horizon but there is a rooftop and street lightning device right in front of all the beauty.person who made this ,agrees to take a new shot,to make original work look ordinary.

I attempted tweaking with the photo a bit so the squirrel's face wasn't as dark as it was, and the background not quite so bright... as a result, he turned out a bit washed out! Slowly, silently, now the moon Walks the night in her silver shoon; This way, and that, she peers, and sees Silver fruit upon silver trees; One by one the casements catch Her beams beneath the silvery thatch; Couched in his kennel, like a log, With paws of silver sleeps the dog; From their shadowy cote the white breast peep Of doves in silver-feathered sleep; A harvest mouse goes scampering by, With silver claws and a silver eye; And moveless fish in the water gleam, By silver reeds in a silver stream. -- Walter de la Mare
