It's all about the monochrome. Spent a good 4 hrs on this one in Photoshop. Combining 2 shots and turning day into night. I ended up with a few versions. The light rays where created by using motion blur and distort. Many layers and differnt effects. Enjoy.
Hi Jay,
I just saw your comment on "A Bright New Future revised", thanks! Tim did do a good job at making lighter. I need to work on how to do that (my problem was that I could get it lighter but then the sky would be way blown out). Anyway, hope you are well,
Jess

Hi Jason
thank you so much for your interest and comment on "Happy St Patrick's Day".. I try to keep up ,plus it helps with some ideas on what to create:)
Jay, thanks a lot for taking the time to look at my picture. It is an HDR, but also manipulated a little bit in photoshop. I'm not a fan of tons of editing to a picture, but I think it can really help sometimes to bring out the overall mood of the picture at the same time. The Rebel is a great camera, you can really get some good shots with it. Good luck.
Hello Jay!Thank you very much for the kind words you said about my photo named "Strange combination".I like the blue I used very much, especially in combination with black(which I like the most).I am so happy you faved this photo.Have a nice day! :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to view my St. Jay Congo pic. I appreciate the kind words and the fave!

Thanks also for commenting on "Banat Museum".I want to correct my spelling mistake from above: it's *really and not *realli.....in my country "i" is pronounced the same way with "y",that's why I'm sometimes mistaking. :)
Hello Jay. Thank you for your comments about “Backyard Beastie II” It would be good to get a photo or two as he becomes whatever he becomes, I will be checking frequently for the event.
There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important.

Thanks Jay for the nice comment on "In memory of..."...The reason my mom bought the mother of Axel was because I LOVED the movie called "Lassie" :)They were so smart and so beautiful..
Hey Jay! Thanks for the high marks! Much appreciated!!! The chica is actually my sister, and she does m0del... so I use her b/c she's such a good subject and natural. But I'll tell her you think so (she'll be pleased)! As for the illusion... so confusing! It's actually the correct way. But nice guess! I know if I hadn't been the one to take the photo I'd have guessed the same as you too :P

Thanks!

P.S: I'm soooo pleased you like my gallery :D

Thank you for the nice comment on 'Spring Maple 2'.

THanks for commenting on Layers. Glad we share appreciation for simple nature. I see your point about the saturation, probably overdid it but suppose it depends on your taste.

Hi Jay...I like the Starry Knight photo..the colours are great...and I thank you for yur nice comments...and I like that you called me "Bloo" that used to be my chatroom name, I belonged to the Poetry Cafe..back when Excite was still around.
Nice to still hear that name..If you aren't able to 'clone', I don't mind cloning out the little electrical stuff on the top of the Medical building shot..just email me..Verena

Thanks so much for all the recent comments Jay! You are right, the pics don't do justice to being there...so now the question is, when can I get back? lol anyway I see what you guys are saying on "Where's the wind?" and appreciate the critique- will keep in mind next time!

A big THANK YOU for the comment on "Fearful". To tell you the truth, I am very affraid of spiders, but I also like taking photos of them. So, I guess you'll see more photos of them in the future :P I am sure can't wait to see them LOL :P
Thanks for your comments on "Liverpool Cathedral #10". The Cathedral is an awe-inspiring building and is just packed with things to photograph. The difficulty, other than the dim lighting, is trying to convey just how huge it is.

Thanks for the comment on "Old Church." I use a program called Photomatix for HDR shots. The free version puts a watermark on pictures, but it at least shows you what you can do. Happy shooting. http://www.hdrsoft.com/
thanks Jay, yes it was Gotham City where I stayed ;) lol! I thought it looked a little like that myself, although it was dressed up for Christmas with the blue lights and from that angle it gave it a mysterious look! thanks very much for your comments.

Putting your pictures in my favorites is the highest honor I can give you. If I could, I would give you an award. But alas, I cannot. So the highest praise I can award you with, is faving your artwork. Bene lava!!

Thank you so much Jay for your comment on Night. The lighting was really awesome, I edited this a little, but before I did anything it was even more red/orange. They are fun shots to take to see what you end up with. And yes, things are slowly getting cleaned up and pieced back together. we just had a slight delay due to a huge wind storm but otherwise things are getting better. Thanks again for the comment, glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for your comments on "Sea grapes anyone?". I was disappointed with the score also but appreciate your kindness:) So your question made me curious and I had to wikipedia it...looks like you can eat them, and even make jam but no mention of wine. Perhaps its worth a shot?
