Hi Maurice and welcome to Caedes. I can't tell you what it means to have my "The Ovens" photo be the first on which you've commented. You know, I love wandering the cemeteries of New Orleans. There's an amazing amount of emotion among the personal stories on the headstones. I've enjoyed studying the history of the town, and when I see the graves and read the dates, I know what was happening at the time. Sometimes the dates and the names make clear the fates of the occupants. It can be quite sad. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks Maurice for the kind comments on “pretty In Pastel” it was originally shot in portrait but was cropped in landscape for the purpose of using it as a background. I shot 35mm film for over 20 years but digital SLR's are the ticket.
