Hello, thanx for stopping by my snail pic. When I said that he posed for me more than ten minutes, I ment that he didn't hide in its shell... I know that snails are slow, doh! But they can be pretty fast when they hide in their home.

Dragon Fly 5 is a capture of a little friend that posed for me. Thanks John for viewing and commenting on Flitter's photo. Shot with a Konica Minolta A200 in telephoto-macro mode, iso50 at f-11 with a fill flash.

Hi John, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment on Four Rivers Fountain Detail. I agree that it's a difficult fountain to shoot, partly because of the sheer size of it. In addition, there was a lot of scaffolding in the background and I even had to take some of it out in photoshop. It was almost impossible to get a shot without scaffolding behind it somewhere. It is a gorgeous fountain, isn't it?

The key to getting it nice and sharp despite the long shutter speed...well, when you don't have a tripod handy, use any available surface:).
