Catherine Falls, Chilikoot Inlet was a surprise treat. We passed the falls to port on the way to Haines at about 42 knots, but there was so much chop that I couldn't get enough shutter speed to get a decent image because of the rain and overcast.

On the return trip to Skagway, he powered down the boat about 150 meters from the falls, and opened the forward hatch for the photogs.

Alaskans treat tourists extremely well.

Some of the tree harvesting and environmental restrictions have caused a great deal of unemployment under the current administration and many Alaskans are finding niches in the tourist trade.

Many thanks for your visit and comments.

Thanks for looking at the weird
Devil's Hole in the Lost Sea Cave charles it's big claim to fame it's America's largest underground lake. You take a 3/4 mile cave walking tour complete with a boat trip around the low lit lake stocked with trout the tour guide tosses fish food into the water and the big trout come alongside the boat and gobble it down. It's no great shakes but OK.
